Distribution and Habitat
- Bacidina californica has been found in California, including cliff tops north of Point Vincente, Palos Verdes, and Green Mountain.
- It grows on shaded, sheltered tree roots exposed in cut-banks above trails on steep forested canyon slopes around 3000-4000 feet.
- It can be found on the trunk of Umbellularia californica.
