Distribution and Habitat
- Common in the high forests of Manu'a, Samoa.
- Dominates species-rich forest types beginning around 450 m elevation.
- Also found in Fiji (Ovalau).
Ecological Role
- It is a common woody species in some forest ecosystems alongside species such as Ascarina diffusa and Dysoxylum huntii.
