Distribution and Habitat

  • Common in the high forests of Manu'a, Samoa.
  • Dominates species-rich forest types beginning around 450 m elevation.
  • Also found in Fiji (Ovalau).

Ecological Role

  • It is a common woody species in some forest ecosystems alongside species such as Ascarina diffusa and Dysoxylum huntii.
