This species is widespread in central and southern Europe, extending northward to England and Scotland. It is also found in regions such as the Balkan Peninsula, Belgium, Bulgaria, the Caucasus, mainland China, Continental USA, Czecho-Slovakia, France, Hungary, the Iberian Peninsula, Iran, and Italy.
