Morphological Characteristics
- Lacks a thallus or its own photobiont.
- Aspect more or less similar to Arthonia varians growing on Lecanora rupicola, that has narrower spores.
Ecology
- It is sometimes found growing on the apothecia of Rhizoplaca chrysoleuca and Psoroma hypnorum.
- It can be a parasite on species of the Lecanora dispersa s.l.
