- Frullania brittoniae has been found in Canada and various locations in Virginia, including Botetourt, Smyth, Giles, Halifax, Bath, Greensville, Suffolk, Chesapeake, Surry, Prince George, and Albemarle.
- It has also been reported in Arizona and Alaska.
- Eleven species of Frullania occur in North America west of the hundredth meridian.
