Distribution and Habitat
- Closely resembles Canadian Serviceberry (A. canadensis) and inhabits similar boggy, swampy habitats.
- Widely cultivated in eastern Ontario, often misidentified as A. canadensis.

- Deciduous shrub growing up to 6 meters (19 feet) tall and 4 meters (13 feet) wide.
