Distribution and Habitat
Equisetum × ferrissii has been reported from Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and Vermont. It's also found in California and Illinois.
It is a vigorous herb found in a wide range of habitats, often in the absence of one or both parents. It has been recorded from open woodland and scrub.
