Distribution and Habitat

Cytisus nigricans is native to Europe and western Asia, typically found in open sites such as scrub and heathland. It is more specifically found in central to southern Europe. Cultivated in Britain by 1730, it has also been recorded in the wild since 1970 in W. Kent.
