Distribution and Habitat

  • Observed on rocky slopes, such as the south side of South Butte on the southeastern slopes of Mt. Adams.
  • Found in the Sierra Nevada Range, California, USA.
  • Presence reported between 6889 and 11154 feet.
  • Grows at higher elevations.
  • Also found within the Cascade Mountains, notably at Chinaman's Bluff on rocks, Sicamous, Shuswap Lake, and the summit of Mount Finlayson, Vancouver Island.
